Margaret Logas, AIA
Director at Large

Although Margaret is fairly new to the Orlando Architecture community, she has long been a lover of Art, Architecture, and Design. A graduate of the University of Florida’s CityLab Orlando Graduate School of Architecture, she has worked at both traditional firms and a Design-Build firm. Before embarking on her journey to become an Architect, she worked as a Librarian for Seminole County for 15 years. In 2019, she was given the opportunity to pursue her dream of becoming an Architect when she was offered a graduate assistant position at

CityLab Orlando to create and develop an architectural resource library. Margaret has also taught art to all age groups, particularly acrylic painting. Her architectural passion is for Historic Preservation of our Cultural Resources and Architectural Heritage as each is a unique window to our shared history that must be shared with future generations. In the past, she has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Black Architects in the Making, College Park Neighborhood Association’s Historic Homes Tour, and Orange County Animal Shelter. The importance of networking and learning opportunities through the AIA is a message she believes needs more promotion through local collaboration. Margaret looks forward to serving as a volunteer to help Orlando AIA achieve its goals creating opportunities for professional development and fellowship. She currently works at HuntonBrady Architects.

Martin Wade-Suit.jpeg

Wade Martin, Assoc. AIA
Allied Director

After graduating from Mississippi State University with a professional bachelor's degree in architecture I landed at a small firm in Celebration FL. In architecture I worked on a wide range of projects from church awnings to 400-unit apartment complexes. I had a go at this for around 6 years until this interesting role called VDC Coordinator fell into my lap. Fast forward to today, I am now a Senior VDC Manager for Batson-Cook Construction overseeing the entire VDC Department for our FL market. My philosophy is to focus on bettering communication by fostering a collaborative environment be that with technology or simply
walking a jobsite. My favorite quote is "the biggest issue with communication is the illusion that it has taken place."
