Benefits

Benefits of membership with the AIA include far more than being able to use “AIA” after your name. The American Institute of Architects exists to create opportunities for professional development and fellowship, as well as raise awareness of the architecture profession in the community.

AIA Continuing Education Systems
The AIA plays an active role in the continuing education of its members. We strive to provide valued opportunities for AIA members to maximize their professional skills through effective learning partnerships with firms, continuing education providers and all AIA components. The state of Florida automatically accepts all registered and approved AIA courses. AIA Members can view their transcript online.

Career Center
Nationwide job postings and resume listings are available at AIA's online Career Center.

Local and state chapters
Local networking activities, educational seminars, and regional updates are available through our local and state chapters.

AIA Government Affairs
Government at all levels can affect you, your livelihood, and how you practice architecture. Government Affairs fights for fair laws and regulations regarding the built environment, promotes design and construction industry leadership, and advocates the vital role architects play in creating livable communities. AIA Government Affairs activities provide a voice for the architectural professional that reaches Capitol Hill, your state legislature, and your city council.

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) offers a series of mentoring tools to help you be an effective mentor as well as to find one.  These programs are a collaborative effort of the AIA national Mentoring Task Group and numerous contributors from within and outside of the profession of architecture.
